One More Crash

Developed One More Crash, a twisted hyper-casual educational game built with Unity3D during my internship at Creative Software, designed as part of a larger gamified learning platform delivered to multiple client organizations. Similar to other educational games developed for the platform, the project combined fast-paced arcade gameplay with interactive learning mechanics to create an engaging experience that blended entertainment, skill-based gameplay, and educational assessment into a single system. The game was successfully launched across more than four client platforms as part of the company’s educational gamification initiatives.
The gameplay focused on precision timing and reflex-based mechanics where players had to jump continuously from one point to another while avoiding rotating spike obstacles surrounding each platform. The challenge progressively increased as movement timing, obstacle rotation patterns, and gameplay speed became more difficult throughout the session. Players were required to carefully time their jumps and maintain concentration to survive while progressing through the level.
To integrate educational engagement into the gameplay loop, the game introduced checkpoint-style save points where players were required to answer educational questions correctly before continuing. These question-and-answer interactions added a learning component to the hyper-casual gameplay structure, encouraging players to remain attentive not only to gameplay mechanics but also to educational content presented during progression. Incorrect answers or collisions with spike obstacles resulted in the game ending, creating a combined skill-and-knowledge-based progression system.
The project also featured a leaderboard system integrated into the broader educational platform ecosystem, allowing players to compete against other users through score rankings and progression tracking. This competitive layer helped increase replayability and engagement while supporting the gamification goals of the platform used by corporate and educational clients.
I contributed throughout the full development lifecycle of the project, including gameplay programming, obstacle mechanics, educational content integration, checkpoint systems, leaderboard functionality, UI implementation, testing, debugging, optimization, and deployment workflows. The development process involved close collaboration with development and QA teams to ensure gameplay stability, responsive controls, smooth educational interactions, and reliable platform performance.
The game was deployed using Unity WebGL technology, enabling browser-based accessibility across multiple client platforms without additional installations. Significant focus was placed on WebGL optimization, responsive gameplay performance, and compatibility across different browser and device environments to ensure a smooth user experience.
This project demonstrated expertise in hyper-casual game development, educational gamification systems, leaderboard integration, WebGL deployment, gameplay balancing, and collaborative production workflows while showcasing how Unity3D could be used to create engaging educational entertainment experiences for enterprise and learning-focused digital platforms.
